XYBASE has recently been awarded the Soekarno Hatta International Airport Flight Information System (FIS) Application Software Development Project to supply and integrate the flight information system for the Soekarno Hatta International Airport.

The new FIS is expected to surpass the functionality of the existing system and operate as a totally integrated system with stand-alone sub-section capabilities of information display, input, storage and reporting. Its objective is to serve as a main data and information source for the user and the airport community such as travelers, end users and operational staff via audio visual around the airport.

With this new FIS, SHIA aims to provide a passenger friendly, modern airport terminal with minimal disruption to the terminal operations as well to have a centralized database to disseminate information.

XYBASE is involved in the development of the FIS which the main solution is based on the latest version of airportXpert™ product, including XYBASE Message Broker middleware as well as JAVA and J2EE technologies. Together with this, XYBASE will also be providing consultancy services such as project management and quality assurance to help ensure the success of the project.
